I have not been on dA for over a month because of various things. Then I thought by now people must have forgotten me. Bit I logged into today and found that I have won a DD and I am so happy. Thank You. thank you.
Will be in an anthology
I submitted three poems to a book anthology poens, shorty stories and essays about poverty. They accepted all three poems I sent. I am very happy and there will be readings and I love reading out loud. At the moment really no new just rewriting. I going back and looking at poems that share a common landscape and rewriting them to connect even more vividly and that details correspond with each other for hopefully books/ collections. Also,working on the novel. Hope to be submitting some new work soon. The best to everyone.

I won a DD a few days ago and read a very well written articulate thoughtful review of another one of my poems. Humm maybe I resist the urge to photograph this gorgeously vibrant varied city and balance it with writing more once again so happy and thank you :)
OK finally back and embarrassed
Life exploded but I am beginning to create again and have missed dA very much. And I have been embarrassed by my lack of creativity. But I so hope to start contributing and reading and seeing others' art. Take care everyone.

Also this week spent one day and seven hours walking a neighborhood that went from 1900's carved and stone buildings, inside first floors gutted for the incoming onslaught of gentrification to bars and clubs painted black with chains and pulleys and sex shops stolen from a 1950's film to upscale cafés and shopping until finally tourist glitz. I never saw so many fascinating buildings in one walk. The soles of my feet started to blister after two hours, thighs back ache for days but it was worth it.
